Kansas City, MO--
RSC Communications, Inc. announced
today that the rollout of the Marcus
V6 web based application. The new V6
GPS vehicle tracking application
adds many new features. The updated
application allows the user to
access new daily reports, alerts,
mapping, routing, administration
usage, along with report
subscriptions, 2-way messaging, and
a vehicle maintenance section.
Reports:
The most recent additions to the
reports section are the "miles
driven by state" driver, location,
and alert report. The "miles driven
by state" allow, companies to track
how many miles their trucks drove in
each state. This can be a huge
undertaking for a company, so with
this new report it is now easy to
calculate mileage per state.
Now when you run a report for an
individual driver, a historical auto
play map pops up; and allows you to
view the track of your truck
throughout the day. You can also
save all of this information into a
PDF, Excel, or CVS file for your
database. All of the previous
reports still exist (start/stop,
begin/end of the day, detailed,
fleet summary), and all of the
information is saved for 90 days.
Alerts:
The "alerts" program now allows you
to pick from 11 different specified
"alerts". These "alerts" are
e-mailed directly to your personal
computer, cellular phone, or pager.
The newest "alert" features allow an
owner or manager to have total
control of his fleet. The departure
, no movement, and extended stop
alert are the new additions to an
already great section. The same
"alerts" still exist (arrival,
enter/exit zone, first movement,
motion, and speed).
Mapping:
In the mapping section you are able
to view an entire fleet or a single
vehicle on the radar map. You can
find vehicles immediately to see
their status (moving, stopped, how
long stopped). You can find saved
locations, zones, and find addresses
that allow you to dispatch and pick
the closest vehicle or vehicles. The
map data now provides the most
current and accurate street data.
The new auto-sizing screen adjusts
to your computer screen size. With
customizable vehicle and fleet
labeling colors, and on-screen
visual "ping" capabilities, that
allow the user to "ping" a specified
vehicle to find that vehicle within
15 seconds, makes this system very
user friendly.
Routing:
The routing capability now allows
managers, owners and dispatchers to
create and save any number of
routes. With this feature the user
can quickly and accurately generate
driving directions, and then e-mail
them directly to their drivers.
Administration:
The administration section lets a
user easily view and modify all of
the previous system settings. You
can set and define the vehicle
names, driver names, and create and
customize zones and locations.
E-mail Subscriptions:
A new report e-mail subscription now
enables a user to customize reports
that will be created automatically.
These reports can be e-mailed
directly to anyone in your
organization. You can choose from
all of the available reports
outlined in the reporting section.
2-way Messaging:
2-way messaging is another powerful
fleet management tool. This system
provides all of the necessary tools
to quickly send and receive text
messages to and from your drivers.
The driver would need to have a
cellular phone, pager, or any
messaging device, that can send and
receive messages. You can manage all
of the messages from one screen, and
the messages are sorted by drivers
for easy management. Also, all of
the messages are dated and time
stamped.
Vehicle Maintenance:
The vehicle maintenance section is
our newest tool in the system. This
allows a user to set maintenance
points for each vehicle or fleet of
vehicles. A user can configure
service types and duration in actual
miles or an elapsed time. You can
choose from tune-ups, brake service,
tire rotation, oil changes, or you
can set custom maintenance alerts.
It sends an e-mail directly to you
when service is due. |
